Australian Schools Calendar 2011

edna-2.jpgThe Australian Schools Calendar 2011 provides a list of events and celebration days with each date linked to event information, making it easier for you to plan classroom activities.

The United Nations have declared 2011 the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.

The calendar includes month-by-month 'Be a Detective' activities to encourage students to identify how the people are protecting forests and the environment. Use it in the classroom with your students.

The 2010 calendar wschools-edna.jpgas so successful we asked designer Alice Fraser, from LaTrobe University, VIC, to let her imagination run wild again for the 2011 calendar with her beautiful hand drawn illustrations and the International Year of the Forest theme.
